Yes! With every external huge software system, one may expect compatibility problems. That's why I choose to use a chroot...this will provide working versions of all external software (LaTeX excluded) ...no matter what the server system is (well, it should be linux) joke |

In ubuntu 14.04 LTS the default gap package seems not to be working in wims (i.e. I got a timeout error) Package: gap Version: 4r6p5-3 I did not have time to look into it, so I decided to downgrade gap (installing from the tar.gs available on the gap site) and this is working. Did any of you experience something similar? Marina |
